Is an Italian café and bakery, the coffee, pastries and food are amazing. My favorite is the almond croissant (ask for it to be warmed).  Coffee arrives in unique cups and saucers, some of them with tiny ears instead of handles. A bit on the expensive side, but as a holiday treat is definitely worth it. (vegan and vegetarian options available)

In Tulum there is a local rivalry between Italdo café (Italian) and Gypsea Market (French).  They are located right next to each other. It is up to you to decide which side of the divide you identify with. 

Gypsea market has a beautiful tropical organic café and restaurant.  Compared to the Italian Italo it is much less busy and has an extensive menu of Tulum hippy classics like freshly made juice and smoothies bowls, detox shots, matcha lattes and “golden milk”, Also many delicious options for breakfast, like omelets, pizzas and classic burger and fries. So, something for everyone in the family here.  In the mornings you can walk here from the house and pick up freshly baked boulangerie style pasties and breads from the onsite French bakery.  There is also an organic store next to the café, where you can buy wine, beer, milk, fruit, veggies and all the basics.  It is a bit more expensive than Chedrahui (the big supermarket on the beach road) but it is very practical as it is so close to the house.

CaraFeliz is a café and English language bookstore. Very friendly, with books for the whole family. Also, you can sell your English language books in exchange for credit you can use in the café. You can try Huevos Rancheros (Mexican ranch eggs, basically corn tortilla with fried eggs and salsa) or Huevos divorciados (divorced eggs like ranch eggs but with two types of salsa which don’t get on).  If spicy eggs is not your thing you can choose from a range of  omelettes and a smoothies. Relaxed atmosphere perfect for checking out the books on offer in the shaded courtyard at the back where there are often sleepy cats.

With delicious Asian fusion food and just 5mins walk from the house, Asian Bodega is a great place to relax and enjoy dinner with friends and family. It has excellent service, some of our favorites dishes are; pork belly, pho, dumplings and fried chicken.
